In 1915 Arthur Brunt was apprenticed as a grocer. He learnt about the qualities and grades of products from across the world. In 1920 when he was 20 years old Arthur Brunt opened his own grocery. He became well known for the quality of the items he selected for his discerning customers. By the 1930’s he progressed into wholesale with the same aim of bringing quality groceries to his customers.
The business in the 1970’s became a specialist food importer. The knowledge and expertise now continues on at Arthur Brunt Quality Grocer.
